Swift Creek Cabin, $195+ per night

Swift Creek details

Sleeps up to three guests: 1 double bed, 1 twin bed (mini-loft).

Swift Creek Cabin is on almost 8-acres of beautiful Alaska wilderness overlooking the Chitina River Valley and the Chugach mountains. There are two, 12’ x 16’ log cabins on the property, one being my home and one for guests. This cozy cabin comfortably sleeps 1-3 guests. There is a full-sized bed and a twin mini-loft. $195 per night for 1-2 guests, $25 additional for a third.

Your cabin includes: Beautiful view, mini-kitchenette with two-burner cook-top (good for simple, ready-to-eat meals), basic kitchen supplies (pots, pans, dishes, etc.), solar charging station for small devices, filtered drinking water and non-potable water for dishes and shower, cozy bedding and towels, propane lights, wall heater with thermostat, skylight, outdoor log shower house, well-maintained outhouse, privacy, and loads of amazing memories! There is no refrigerator in Swift Creek Cabin. Coolers with ice packs work great!

Bluff Cabin, $275+ per night

Bluff details

Sleeps up to five guests: 1 queen bed (loft) and 2 twins (bunk room), couch (living room).

Bluff Cabin is located on 20-acres of beautiful Alaska wilderness overlooking the Kennicott River and Chitina River Valley. This log cabin comfortably sleeps five guests with a queen-sized bed in the loft and twin bunk beds in a downstairs bedroom. An additional fifth guest is welcome if sleeping on the couch is OK. The loft is accessed by steep, ladder-style stairs recommended only for guests comfortable with this type of access. $275 per night for 1-2 guests, $25 per night for each additional up to 5.

Your cabin includes: Beautiful view, kitchenette with a small propane refrigerator, 4-burner stove-top (no oven), basic kitchen supplies (pots, pans, dishes, etc), solar charging station for small devices, filtered drinking water and non-potable water for dishes and shower, cozy bedding and towels, living room, loft bedroom, bunk room, a large deck with a picnic table, propane and solar lights with propane lights for back-up (during cloudy/rainy periods), a wood stove as the heat source (firewood is provided), private shower house, well-maintained outhouse, loads of privacy, and amazing memories!

Meadow Cabin, $230+ per night

Meadow details

Sleeps up to four guests: 1 queen bed (full loft), 1 queen hide-away couch bed.

Meadow Cabin is located on 10-acres of beautiful Alaska wilderness. The cabin sleeps four guests with a queen-sized bed in the loft and a queen-size hide-away couch bed downstairs. A foam pad is also available for the couch bed for added comfort. The loft is accessed by fairly steep, ladder-style stairs recommended only for guests comfortable with this type of access. $230 per night for 1-2 guests, $25 per night for each additional up to 4.

Your cabin includes: Partial view, kitchenette with a small propane refrigerator, two-burner cook top (no oven), basic kitchen supplies (pots, pans, dishes, etc.), solar charging station for small devices, filtered drinking water and non-potable water for dishes and shower, cozy bedding and towels, living room, full loft bedroom, deck, propane and solar lights, wood stove as the heat source (firewood is provided), shower house, well-maintained outhouse, loads of privacy, and amazing memories!

Other tid-bits

Being a small business with a tiny crew, McCarthy Cabins has a set check-in window of 3-6pm. We’ll escort you to your cabin, give you a brief tour, and show you some basic How-Tos (such as lighting the wood stove and/or propane lights).

Check in: 3pm – 6pm*
Check out: 11am

*There is a $50 late check-in fee for arrivals between 6-7pm. Arrivals between 7-8pm there is a $75 late check-in fee. There are no arrivals after 8pm (unless prior arrangements have been made).

90+ days: $50 cancellation fee
Between 90 and 60 days: 50% refund
